1 Introduction
This website is operated by Matt Ollive ("we", "us"). This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are used when you visit www.mattollive.com, why they are used, and the choices you have. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites work properly, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the site. We also use similar technologies such as local storage, which stores small amounts of information in your browser in a comparable way.
2 How this site uses cookies
This site is built on the Squarespace platform, and the cookies set when you visit come from Squarespace's platform functionality and analytics, together with Google reCAPTCHA, which protects our contact form from spam. We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or third-party marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar services.
3 Cookies set by this site
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the site to function securely and cannot be switched off in our systems.

Analytics cookies
These cookies are set by Squarespace's built-in analytics, which give us aggregate information about how the site is used — for example, which pages are visited and whether a visitor is new or returning. This information is not used for advertising and is not shared with third-party ad networks.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
ss_cid |

ss_cvr |

Local storage
In addition to cookies, the site uses browser local storage. Squarespace stores a value called SS_HAS_LANDED to record that your browser has loaded the site, which helps pages display correctly on repeat visits. Local storage items remain in your browser until cleared and are not transmitted with every request the way cookies are.
4 Third-party services
Google reCAPTCHA. Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam and abuse. When you visit a page containing the form, Google may set cookies and collect information such as your IP address and browser characteristics. This is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Adobe Fonts. The site loads typefaces from Adobe Fonts (Typekit). Adobe does not set cookies when serving fonts, but your browser makes requests to Adobe's servers, which may log your IP address for font-licensing purposes. See Adobe's Privacy Policy for details.
Squarespace. As our hosting platform, Squarespace processes visitor data (including the cookies above) on our behalf and delivers site content from its content delivery network. See the Squarespace Privacy Policy and Squarespace's documentation on the cookies it uses.
5 Your choices
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations), we only set non-essential cookies — such as the analytics cookies above — where you have given consent through the cookie banner shown on your first visit. Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent because the site cannot function securely without them.
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by clearing the cookies for this site in your browser, after which the banner will appear again on your next visit. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings; the help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge explain how. Blocking all cookies may prevent parts of the site, such as the contact form, from working properly.
6 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if the cookies used by the site change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
7 Contact
If you have any questions about this policy or how your data is handled, please get in touch via the contact page.
